Representing Space

Installation, Photography

Why people like to hang a picture on wall is the question I try to answer. Apart from offering a comfortable position for viewers to look at, it may trace back to the body positions and movements of the image creator. Between the image and the viewer, there is a hidden space that belongs to the whole artwork and I want to find it and exhibit it. I record five places and hang those images on different places of walls. Each of them represent more than just an image, but also reveals the bodily condition when I met each scenery. By putting these images in a place shows the space that I have traveled physically and felt mentally and at the same time it invites the viewers to explore their own experience of the space.
